Upon further review it's actually the second baseman who takes the throw, but he still should have used his right foot on the bag.

If the first baseman would have used proper technique and kept in contact on the bag with his right foot, they would have got the out at first anyway.

I know that he tried to cheat and all, but give him a little bit of a break...He was just a kid in this video, his team is down by 1 in the last inning, it's the CWS opening round, and he's got about 3 seconds to think.
It's just bad umping. You call him out for runner interference, not to mention he was out in the first place LOL.

This was definitely interference and it should have been ruled a double play due to the interference.
